Deplatformed (Again) this time from Medium
There seems to be no recourse against this censorship.
I have been deplatformed again. This time from Medium, which admittedly I had not been using much. But it still stings. More so because so many of their responses are just form replies not taking any of the actual articles or comments into consideration yet those are (ostensibly) what they are deplatforming me for. Each message is from yourfriends@medium.com which just is salt in the wounds.
I’ve had issues with Medium with different stories in the past, or being shadowbanned, but generally the articles at least were up. If you had the link you could see them. I had 2200 followers. They had just verified me as a published book author in June. Better times.
The first clue came with an email from Medium Support.
”Hello,

I saw it later that night and I answered it quickly, “ What content are you talking about? This is ridiculous.”
I was very surprised because my most recent post had been the innocuous, “What’s New to Read in 2026! Books to Tok About” published February 12th, where I noted, that among the books new in 2026 was “The Night We Met (Deluxe Edition by Abby Jimenez An emotional, heartwarming story of love, loss, laughter, and healing that readers can’t stop talking about.” I had just collected some new popular fiction that I thought were fun reads for relaxing after the holidays with a few more literary works thrown in there. I chose authors that I thought people would be happy to see they had a new book and hopefully go and buy it helping me as an Amazon Affiliate. Other recent posts had been this one, which I published on both Substack and Medium with very minor changes. 🎨 The 21 Best Watercolor Supplies I Can’t Paint Without Nothing controversial at all unless you think casein should not count as watercolor.
I got this message back.
Cowed, I replied with Google’s suggestion “Thank you for your response.”
I don’t think I got any further response. A few weeks went by and I was still suspended. On March 8th I wrote them again, “Please tell me which of my articles is in question.”
Again, the same form response.
On March 12th I reached out again. “My account was suspended. I have no idea why. Please tell me exactly which articles are a problem and why. Please be specific. All of my articles are in line with Medium policies.”
On March 16th I got this response.
So here I got a better idea of why they were doing this. I was able to click through to the links and see it was not my articles that they were flagging but comments I had made. I had had a discussion with a biased lout who was hypocritically bashing Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
I’ve never been a really big fan of RFK Jr. I’ve had personal issues with him in the past stemming decades, (I jumped off a cliff he said was diveable but was carried off in a strong current. Possibly this was just an error in judgement, on his part or he genuinely thought I was stronger swimmer. I did carry a grudge. At another time, he also tried to get my cousin and her husband to drive the dead bear back to Massachusetts. While I’d been drinking I thought that was a terrible idea. ) However I think he’s doing a great job as Secretary of Health.

I think we have covered many of these same arguments before.
This is just a misunderstanding on your part. If you look at my Linked In (I do need to update it I’m no longer with Fedcap) you can see that I have a Master’s Degree in Education and am a former teacher. Early in my career I was also a research assistant for the Knipe Lab at Harvard Medical School and have taken many university classes in science including several graduate level courses in virology and vaccines. The Knipe Lab is very well respected. I understand this subject very well unlike most people commenting on it or reporting it from the mainstream news. My Medium Account is under my real name and has my real picture. I have over 2,000 followers. I stand behind what I write.
For the first post you cited.

We were discussing the measles outbreak in Samoa which Medium user with the logon “Malcolm Doidge” was blaming on the US Secretary of Health and Human Services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. J.D., LL.M.. I said, “When children die because they were vaccinated and there is a huge trial of two people over it you will see a drop in vaccination rates.”
I was referring to an incident where two babies died after being improperly vaccinated by two nurses. This is well known and was referenced in this Lancet article. “Immunisation rates declined in Samoa after two babies died on Savai’i island following measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccinations that were wrongly prepared by nurses who were later jailed.” Lancet is a well respected medical journal. I said “Unsafe vaccines have killed more people than this measles epidemic.” In retrospect I’m not sure if I meant the current US epidemic which the CDC lists three deaths or if I was referring to the Samoan epidemic which had 83 deaths. In either case I am correct. Look at the first Polio vaccine, the Cutter Incident which resulted in 10 deaths. This article references 130 children dying from the dengue vaccine. These are just two of the most famous incidents. I could list many more.
Please let me know if you still see a problem with that post, otherwise I will consider that one fine and expect it to be reinstated.

The second post is here: I said, “What country do you live in and what nationality are you? You still don’t seem to get that vaccines need to be safe. Unsafe vaccines need to be investigated not magically declared to be safe. People stopped vaccinating because in Samoa because two children were killed when a nurse mixed the vaccine wrong. They were tried for manslaughter and went to prison. Learn what you’re talking about.”
I’ll number the sentences
Sentence 1: I was responding to the post where “Malcolm Doidge” said he was not American and lived in a country far away. I thought this was a lie because I think I’ve spoken with him on Medium Day and he was American, but I just wanted to have him claim where he lived and a nationality so he couldn’t claim whatever was convenient for his argument. Asking where a person is from or their nationality is not prohibited by Medium rules.
Sentence 2: You still don’t seem to get that vaccines need to be safe. Can you possibly have a problem with that? Everyone wants safe vaccines.
Sentence 3: Unsafe vaccines need to be investigated not magically declared to be safe. Again I don’t see anyone having a problem with this. Everyone wants safe vaccines.
Sentence 4 and 5: People stopped vaccinating because in Samoa because two children were killed when a nurse mixed the vaccine wrong. They were tried for manslaughter and went to prison. This is the incident I addressed before. Here are the links to the articles again.

Please restore my account or tell me which of these you still have a problem with. I am exposing corruption as a citizen journalist and am an activist calling for the abolishment of the CIA. People get angry at me a lot. I’m not an anti-vaccer. I was in the Peace Corps. I’m vaccinated for diseases you’ve never even heard of. I worked on creating a vaccine in the Knipe Lab. I have a nuanced view on vaccines that is accurate but that the mainstream media wants to push into one of two categories. This push you are getting to suspend my account, is around the same time that my highest rated articles about the Isabella Stewart Gardner Theft generally get a lot of views. Your knee jerk reaction to suspend my account really damages my social media presence and causes me a lot of extra work to move everything to different platforms. You have a responsibility to treat your customers fairly and not discriminate against them.
Please reinstate my account. Thank you.

I had high hopes that this would be resolved.
On March 17th (St. Patrick’s Day! I think they chose it on purpose. Irish luck can kick you in the teeth.) They responded with this.
Reuben S. is gone replaced again by Trust & Safety.
I notice too that they chose to respond to my shorter email not my last, long email. Possibly they didn’t receive it? But why would they send out another email if they didn’t get my response.
It’s just so frustrating. First was the Boston Globe, for similar reasons. I think they deplatformed me because I made a joke about med students during Covid. How dare I! I’m supposed to be a lowly peasant and not question our dear leaders scientific knowledge. They never backed down, never relented. Even though on every single question they were wrong.
Next Twitter, on two accounts. I have no idea why they deplatformed me the first time. The second was because someone hacked my account. They know someone hacked my account. They told me someone hacked my account but they still won’t give it back. Endless emails into the void.
I should learn. I should have my own website. I should have my own email list.
Any ideas on how to handle this? Both my immediate issue with Medium and with the greater issue of these tech companies censoring free speech.
